Setiap pagi pada Hari Wesak, para penganut Buddha akan ke kuil bagi menghadiri upacara keagamaan mereka. Saya gembira kerana negara kita yang mempunyai masyarakat berbilang kaum dan kepercayaan agama mampu meraikan pelbagai perayaan dalam suasana penuh aman dan harmoni.
Untuk itu, semangat perpaduan kaum di negara kita ini harus dikekalkan dan ia memerlukan komitmen daripada setiap rakyat di negara ini. Kita perlu berganding bahu dan bekerjasama untuk memastikan keharmonian kaum di negara kita ini terus berkekalan.
Akhir sekali, raikanlah perayaan Hari Wesak ini dalam semangat perpaduan dan hormat-menghormati seperti yang diajar oleh agama yang kita anuti. Selamat Hari Wesak saya ucapkan kepada penganut agama Buddha di Malaysia.
